Covid-19
During The Pandemic
Covid-19 has been challenging for everyone but particularly for those children away from home. Throughout the pandemic Heritage has given unwavering support and reassurance to the children in our care and will continue to do so. We have provided quarantine and self-isolation with Heritage families as well as looking after children throughout the summer months who were unable to return home due to the closing of borders or quarantine restrictions. For those children who have been able to travel to and from the UK we have organised innumerable pre-flight tests and accompanied many children to and from the airports to help ensure smooth and safe journeys home.

As a founder member of the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students (AEGIS), Heritage offers a comprehensive guardianship service to the families of overseas students, which includes excellent pastoral support and appropriate guidance to the children and their parents during term time.
Our service also extends outside of term time and as part of our service we ensure that all our Heritage families provide our children with a comfortable, secure environment during holiday and exeat periods too.
The Role of a Guardian
Boarding Schools require children from Europe and Overseas to appoint a responsible guardian permanently based in the UK. This must be someone capable of dealing effectively with practical, pastoral and educational issues throughout the academic year.
